Wow, pretty amazing to find this here... how are y'all? I'm up in B'ham now; I spent two years in Minnesota on an abortive attempt to get an aviation/pro flight degree, and am now at Western studying Political Science like I should have in the first place, probably in preparation for law school.

Anyways, just thought I'd say hey y'all.

(Oh, and about that icon: I'm not really THAT flaming everyday; that was me being extra fruity for the camera.)

double post
warning: mushy nostalgia right ahead

My friends who are all still so dear to me,
Aden, Alice, Andrew, Aubrey, Bryan, Gillian, Krystal, Nahzi, Sean, Tyler, Wes
I love you all so much, you have had such an impact on my life, made me who I am today. Some of you I still see, but the rest of you I miss every day. I miss our friendships and I regret that I have not worked to keep them strong. But even if we aren't friends I still will always have the memories of one of the best time in my life and of the best friends I have ever had.
Love always, Z

things that I remember

-being "The Tramp" in the play for drama class in 7th grade
-going on a field trip to UW in 7th grade and grabbing free condoms and then Alex White sticking one on the ceiling of the lounge when we got back
-putting makeup on Jon and making him look glam/goth on the trip to Vancouver (I think he was also wearing some of Nahzi's clothes)
-the Ritalin incident
-When Sean and Jon put on Krystal's sparkly pagent dresses and ran around the cafeteria (what the hell was that for anyways? did someone steal their clothes?)
-SWEAR (and how their band name changed every week)
-When Rick came out and the scandal it caused
-Kelly and Aaron making out on the floor of the lounge
-Youth in Revolt and Outlander
-Gillian and Sean
-the fancy 8th grade dance complete with a limo ride
-what the hell was it that was found in Lisa's desk anyways?
-crazy Laura and her endless stories about getting radiation from the chair and pushing people down stairs
-getting roses from Michael Mates *shudders*
-how tall and cool the 9th graders seemed when I was in 7th grade
-how short and dorky the sevies seemed when i was in 9th grade
-working on the yearbook in 9th grade and having the brainstorm of putting quotations from the teachers on their support group pages
-playing heads up seven up in support group (and occationally cheating, as sad as that is)
-adrienne becoming aden, krystal becoming kissel, nahzi becoming nani, and me sometimes being called zo-zo
-the closest group of friends that i have ever had

caleb's bi-hawks
brady's "half-baked" shirt that none of the teachers ever understood
ricki & raulee

I'm Kristin. I went to Northstar back when Grunge Rock was still cool (graduated in '97). We used to sit in the lounge and listen to Offspring and Green Day. It was a proud day for my class when most of us were suspended for a flannel burning incident - you know how flannel is fuzzy and nubby? Well, if you hold a lighter up to that a sheet of flame flies across the flannel and disappears.

Too bad the administration didn't think it was as cool as we did.

If we wanted to skip school we'd make up lame excuses about having to go to the bathroom, and since the bathroom was all the way over at the high school we'd scam a long break for a snack or a smoke or whatever we were inclined to do while ditching class.

The student body that existed my first and second year at NSJH was the biggest class of cutups, slackers, stoners, and freaks EVER. We were like a big dysfunctional family.

Man, I miss that place.

Kind of.

So, about a month ago, I'm at work. I work at a restaurant and there's a party of 11 that comes in.... it's a Northstar staff meeting! The sad part is that the only ones left that I know are David and Bob... no Mary, Robin, Lisa, Laura, or Rick. Crazy, huh?

First entry
Hello to anyone who may stuble across this livejournal community. I basically started it as way to avoid studying for my finals, but that's OK! So I am going to ask my friends that went to Northstar to join this community and leave entries and so could anyone who knows an current or former student please pass along this address? I am curious to see what happens with this...
